The CAST³⁺ Composite-Anode-System consists of an electrically conductive CAST³⁺ Composite - Anode that forms with the concrete overlay a durable micro capillary composite matrix.

The CAST³⁺ Composite-Anode-System is installed by applying first an alumo-silicate based primer - CAP 60 - and subsequently the CAST³⁺ Paint, an alkaline aqueous dispersion, on the concrete surface. The CAST³⁺ Paint and the CAP 60 primer contain a soluble alumo-silicate-component that penetrates with the aqueous phase into the surface layer of the concrete (2-5 mm) and hardens within the conductive paint and within the pore space of the concrete overlay forming a micro capillary composite matrix.
